Groom’s ‘highly inappropriate’ wedding stunt caught on camera as he motorboats new wife
SEE THE VIDEO: A groom has been captured on camera pulling a bizarre wedding day stunt.

A video of a couple’s wedding ceremony has captured the attention of the internet for the wrong reasons after the groom chose to celebrate his “I do’s” with an unusual stunt.
The video, shared by wedding officiant Nathan Grieve, shows the finale of newlyweds Adelina and Riley’s wedding ceremony at Southwood Estate in Canada.
Instead of sealing his vows with a kiss, Riley instead buried his face in Adelina’s chest and shook his head, motorboating her through her bridal gown, before turning to the crowd and raising his arms in celebration.

Mr Grieve claimed he was caught completely off guard, writing in his caption that he has “never seen” that happen before.
“Riley immediately celebrated his new wife in a way that will absolutely be remembered at family gatherings for years to come,” Mr Grieve captioned his TikTok video.
To cap off the awkward end to the ceremony, the planned exit music failed to play as the newlyweds made their way back up the aisle, replaced instead by a blaring car alarm from the nearby parking lot.
“Perfect timing. Perfect chaos. Perfectly Riley & Adelina,” Mr Grieve added.
Despite the couple’s good spirits, etiquette expert Jo Haynes told news.com.au the raunchy move “isn’t appropriate”.
“While it appears to be consensual in this clip — the bride doesn’t appear shocked or surprised, and doesn’t appear to try and stop him — this is a wedding ceremony,” Ms Hayes said.
“Such sexually suggestive/sexual innuendo-type behaviour isn’t appropriate.”
Ms Haynes pointed out that the wedding crowd pictured was not an adults-only audience.
“There are likely children in the audience, for whom witnessing such behaviour would be highly inappropriate,” she explained.
“And even for adults, witnessing such behaviour can make people uncomfortable.”
Suggesting that Riley may have been inspired by Hollywood comedy stunts, Ms Haynes offered him some blunt advice.
“It’s highly likely he’s a fan of Wedding Crashers and thought such a stunt would be funny … darling, it’s really not,” she said.
“Save it for the honeymoon.”
The video has amassed almost 380,000 views, sparking plenty of online debate about the groom’s behaviour, with many indicating the move would result in an instant divorce.
“This is at the centre of a Venn diagram of things you shouldn’t do at your wedding,” one person wrote.
“That is such a red flag though. It shows a lack of respect for her and their families. My husband makes motor boating and other dirty jokes on a near-daily basis, but you will never ever catch him saying it in front of other people,” a second user commented.
“In front of the bride’s mother and father?! Yuck,” another said.
