Kyle Sandilands has broken his silence over rumours Hugh Jackman cheated on his wife of 27 years.

Gossip blogger Tasha Lustig posted a video on October 26 claiming Jackman blindsided his wife Deborra-Lee Furness, by “running off” with his Broadway co-star Sutton Foster while they were still married.

Furness ‘liked’ the Instagram video, fuelling speculation the claims of Jackman’s affair were true.

However, Sandilands rushed to the 49-year-old actor’s defence during Thursday’s Kyle and Jackie O Show, discussing the claims with co-star Jackie ‘O’ Henderson.

“Who cares if the rumours are true? How long is Hugh supposed to stay single for, how long is long enough?” the 53-year-old KIIS FM host questioned.

Henderson jumped in to clarify the rumours weren’t that he moved on quickly but that he cheated.

Sandilands doubled down in the actor’s defence: “I don’t believe in unknown sources, which could be lying to sell a story.”

The viral video also attracted a comment from Furness’ close friend Amanda de Cadenet who wrote: “You are on point with this one. My beloved friend Deb is about to have her glow up any moment fyi!”

Sandilands still refused to listen to the speculation, suggesting Furness may have “liked the post by mistake” and that people shouldn’t read too much into it.

The gossip blogger’s post also claimed that Jackman and Sutton were planning a “soft launch” of their relationship publicly to see the response.
