Hugh Jackman, Sutton Foster pack on PDA during Costa Rican trip after Aussie’s split from Deborra-Lee Furness
Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster have escaped their concrete jungle home of New York City for some down time on the Costa Rican coast, with the pair spotted enjoying a romantic beach getaway as they welcomed the new year.
While both have carved successful careers on stage, the Aussie actor, 57, and his American beauty, 50, required no audience to profess their love as they shared intimate moments in the surf at golden hour.
The pair cut relaxed figures as they waded playfully through the waves hand-in-hand, with the Wolverine star donning flower-embossed board shorts, and Foster spotted in a navy blue two-piece.

The pair’s relationship has faced ongoing scrutiny since before they’d even made it public a year ago, with reports suggesting Foster had been an influence in Jackman’s split from his wife of 27 years, Deborra-Lee Furness.
Jackman and Furness announced their separation in September 2023, with their divorce finalised in June 2025.
It is now rumoured Jackman and Foster’s bond has been challenged by a new romantic threat in his co-star Kate Hudson following their work in musical drama Song Sung Blue.
The film sees the actors play musicians who find love in a Neil Diamond tribute band.
Hudson, 57, is engaged to musician Danny Fujikawa who she began dating in 2016, and is the father to the pair’s daughter.
According to Radar Online, insiders say Foster has become envious of the movie stars’ chemistry and time spent together, with Hudson even labelling Jackman her “work hubby” during their press tour.
“The first thing people may wonder when they see Song Sung Blue is, ‘Hey, why isn’t Sutton Foster in this movie with Hugh?’” a source told the outlet.
“She’s the right age, she has the right look, and, unlike Kate Hudson, she’s actually an accomplished singer.
“But the vision for this project required that Hugh star opposite someone who is equally famous, and that disqualified Sutton.”
The report comes after New Idea revealed in late December that the Broadway stars were planning to adopt a child together as they hunted for a new shared home.
An insider told the publication, “Hugh and Sutton are full of excitement about all the next steps that they can finally take.”
“They spent so long feeling like they couldn’t live out loud, but now that they are finally a public couple, things are moving very quickly.”
