Keith Urban, Nicole Kidman divorce: Singer comments on his look in first social media comments since break-up
Keith Urban has broken his silence, sharing his first social media post since his shock divorce from Nicole Kidman.
While both he and Kidman have carried on with their public lives — Kidman attending Paris Fashion Week and Urban continuing his High and Alive World music tour — the country music star has remained quiet online since news of the separation emerged in September.
But that silence ended on Sunday, when Urban posted a playful Instagram video poking fun at himself — even entertaining the idea of changing his style and hair after a suggestion that “it may be time to change it up a little bit”.

In the video, Urban critiques his old hairstyles and looks from the ’90s alongside country singer Blake Shelton, who produces the show.
“You and I have both been in Nashville since the ‘90s and we went through some awkward phases,” Shelton jokes in the video.
Shelton then went on to reveal the first photo of Urban with his long, straight blond locks paired with a rather unique vest.

Urban responds with laughter before admitting it was how he looked when he first arrived in the US.
“I can’t understand why I wasn’t getting signed,” Urban joked.
Urban then shares a country music magazine feature from the 2000s, showing Shelton with long curly hair and Urban with his now signature straight blond hair.
Through laughter, Shelton suggests: “It may be time to change it up a little bit. I mean, you’ve had the same hair since 2001, man.”
Before the clip, Urban hadn’t posted on Instagram since September 27, when he shared a promotional snippet for The Road.
Kidman filed for divorce in Nashville, Tennessee, on September 30, with the date of separation listed as the same day.
The reason for the break-up was cited as irreconcilable differences, reports said at the time.

Kidman, 58, and Urban, 57, were married in 2006 and share two daughters, 17-year-old Sunday, and Faith, 14.
According to the leaked divorce filings obtained by TMZ, Kidman is seeking to be the primary carer of the children.
The actress is not seeking child support from Urban, with the wealthy pair both listing their gross individual incomes as “exceeding $100,000 a month”.
