Miley Cyrus will “never forget” how she felt when she lost her home in the Woolsey Fire.

The 32-year-old pop star lost her Malibu mansion in the 2018 wildfires and now that a similar blaze is raging across Pacific Palisades in Los Angeles, she has recalled the moment she was met by a “pile of ash and rubble” where her front door used to be.

“This image hits me hard in the heart today,” she wrote on Instagram alongside a photo of the remains of her old home.

“This is a photo taken of my front porch in 2018 after losing our house in the Woolsey fires.

“It’s a feeling you don’t ever forget. Walking up to the door you would pass through daily, looking forward to being greeted by the ones you love like you always do but instead being met by a pile of ash and rubble.”

The Grammy Award-winning star — who was married to Australian actor Liam Hemsworth at the time and alluded to the tragedy in her 2023 break-up anthem ‘Flowers’ — is “beyond heartbroken” at the current situation, especially because it is all happening in a city that represents “living the dream” to so many.

“My soul aches for those who are experiencing this devastation firsthand and I cry for my city,” she said.

“It’s beyond heartbreaking. Los Angeles represents ‘living ‘the dream’ but the reality today is wreckage and destruction.”

She concluded her post by calling for others to help where they could and sent her love to those affected.

“I am sharing links to organizations that I’m personally supporting and that are helping fight the fires and support survivors, including @malibufoundation that we helped launch in 2018,” she said.

“Time, resources and dedication from inside and outside of our community will heal us, but it hurts deeply for now.”

Thousands of homes have been destroyed including those belonging to former The Hills stars Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt, acting partners Leighton Meester and Adam Brody and a mansion belonging to Scary Movie actress Anna Faris.

Paris Hilton — who is married to Carter Reum and has Phoenix, 23 months, and 14-month-old London with him — is also among the celebs to have lost a home. In the wake of her personal devastation, the hotel heiress launchd an emergency fund through her non-profit “to support displaced families with young children”.

“My heart is with everyone impacted by the devastating fires here in LA. While I’ve lost my Malibu home, my thoughts are with the countless families who have lost so much more—their homes, cherished keepsakes, the communities they loved, and their sense of stability,” she wrote to her followers on social media.

John Goodman — who is known for his roles in The Flintstones and Roseanne — has also seen his home destroyed in the wildfires as his Pacific Palisades property was in the path of the main blaze.

Sir Anthony Hopkins shared a poignant message on social media after losing his home in the Los Angeles wildfires.

“As we all struggle to heal from the devastation of these fires, it’s important we remember that the only thing we take with us is the love we give,” the 87-year-old Oscar-winner wrote.

Top Gun: Maverick star Miles Teller and his wife Keleigh Sperry’s $US7.5 million ($A12.2 million) mansion was also wiped out in the blazes.

Actors Mel Gibson, Eugene Levy, Milo Ventimiglia, Kate Beckinsale, and Mandy Moore have also lost their homes to the ongoing wildfires.

Comedian Billy Crystal and his wife, Janice, shared a joint statement to the media confirming their home of almost 50 years had been destroyed by fires.

Images show nothing remains of the 76-year-old’s sprawling home beyond his tennis courts — which were virtually unmarked despite his house lying in ruins beside the green grounds.

“Janice and I lived in our home since 1979. We raised our children and grandchildren here. Every inch of our house was filled with love. Beautiful memories that can’t be taken away,” the statement read.

“We are heartbroken of course but with the love of our children and friends we will get through this. We pray for the safety of the fire fighters and first responders.

“The Pacific Palisades is a resilient community of amazing people and we know in time it will rise again. It is our home.”
