Lady Gaga at Joker premiere in London: Singer-star steals show in hot red ensemble with huge shoulder pads
When you’re rubbing shoulders with fellow A-listers, you need something to make you stand out from the celebrity crowd.
Lady Gaga certainly achieved that at the premiere of the latest Joker film in London last night.
Indeed, her red shoulder pads were so high they almost knocked off the spectacles of her co-star Joaquin Phoenix as the pair embraced on the red carpet.

The 38-year-old, whose real name is Stefani Germanotta, wore a custom Celine gown by Hedi Slimane styled with intricate make-up inspired by her character in the film, Harley Quinn.
Lady Gaga – famous for her hits Bad Romance, Poker Face and Born This Way – had dyed her short hair red to complement her gown.
Phoenix, 49, who plays the Joker in the film, wore a simple outfit – a black bomber jacket, tie and trainers.
Lady Gaga was accompanied on the carpet by her fiance, tech entrepreneur Michael Polansky.
The couple announced their engagement in July after he proposed to her in Paris, where she had performed at the opening ceremony of the Olympics. He gave her an eight-carat oval-cut ring worth an estimated £500,000, which she wore on the red carpet.
After the success of the first Joker film, Lady Gaga was bought in to play the love interest to Phoenix’s character in Joker: Folie A Deux, for which she has earned $17.5 million.
The sequel follows two years after the first film and sees the two lead actors experience life as a musical through their shared insanity – with music provided by the singer.
It’s her first movie since she starred in Ridley Scott’s hit film House Of Gucci in 2021. She will be releasing a 13-song album, Harlequin, tomorrow as a companion to the film, with the movie coming out a week later.
