Authorities in Argentina are reportedly aware of a tragic detail about the moments before Liam Payne died.

On October 17, the One Direction star died after plummeting 14 meters from a balcony of the Casa Sur hotel in Buenos Aires.

Authorities found multiple substances in a trashed hotel room after the singer’s death.

The prosecutor’s office released the first official details after his autopsy, where a coroner had found 25 injuries compatible with those caused by a fall from height, including fatal head injuries, with internal and external bleeding.

Since his death, the moments before the tragic balcony incident have been a mystery. Now, a journalist who has seen CCTV footage of Payne in the seconds before his death has revealed devastating new details.

Local journalist Paula Varela reported on Socios del Espectaculo that CCTV footage shows Payne suffered a medical incident, fainting next to the balcony edge.

“There is footage that is not being released to the media with the balcony scene where you see that Liam faints and tragically because of where he is, falls from that balcony,” she said on the program.

“If he had been beside his bed he would have fallen on his bed.

“It’s not that he jumped deliberately. This footage is in the official case files.”

Girlfriend Kate Cassidy breaks silence, reveals wedding plans

In a post to Instagram, a week following the singer’s death, girlfriend Kate Cassidy said: “I don’t even know where to begin. My heart is shattered in ways I can’t put into words.

“I wish you could see the huge impact you’ve had on the world, even as it feels so dark right now.

“You brought so much happiness and positivity to everyone - millions of fans, your family, friends, and especially me.

“You are so incredibly loved.

“You are - because I can’t say were - my best friend, the love of my life, and everyone you touched felt just as special as I did.”

Cassidy said Payne’s energy was contagious and that he lit up every room he walked into.

“None of this feels real, and I can’t wrap my head around this new reality of not having you here. I’m struggling to figure out how to live in a world without you by my side,” she said.

“Together, we got to be kids again, always finding joy in the smallest things.

“Liam, you had the kindest soul and the most fun-loving spirit. It feels like I’ve lost the best part of myself.

“I can’t imagine a day without your laughter and love. You brought so much light into my life.”

According to Cassidy, it said: “Me and Kate to marry within a year/engaged and together forever 444”.

“Liam, I know we’ll be together forever, but not in the way we had planned”, she added.

“You’ll always be with me. I’ve gained a guardian angel.

“I will love you for the rest of my life and beyond, carrying our dreams and memories with me everywhere I go.”
