Bob Bryar, the drummer of My Chemical Romance between 2004 and 2014, has died aged 44.

The musician was found dead in his Tennessee home on Tuesday, after last being seen alive on November 4, TMZ reports.

Bryar first joined the group in 2004 after meeting the American rock band while they were on tour with The Used.

He went on to play drums on the 2006 album The Black Parade, the group’s most well-known record.

A cause of death has not been revealed, but foul play has been ruled out.

“The band asks for your patience and understanding as they process the news of Bob’s passing,” said a spokesperson for My Chemical Romance.

To date, Bryar is the longest-tenured drummer in MCR history.

He wrote songs for MCR’s 2010 album Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys, but left the group before its release.

In 2020, he appeared at a remembrance for and wrote about late Rush drummer, Neil Peart, telling a heartfelt anecdote about their friendship.

In the years after leaving My Chemical Romance, Bryar admitted several times to his battles with poor mental health.
