Nicole Kidman has bared all - in more ways than one - in the lead-up to the release of her psychosexual new film Babygirl.

The stunning 57-year-old showed off her statuesque physique in a photoshoot for British GQ as she talked about the premiere of her movie with Halina Reijn at the Venice Film Festival.

“It was terrifying,” Kidman told the mag. “But at the same time, thrilling.”

Babygirl has already made headlines across the world due to the fake orgasm from Kidman, playing tech CEO Romy, in its opening scene.

Kidman told the mag that the movie, which revolves around Romy’s kink-filled affair with 20-something intern Samuel, played by Harris Dickinson, was much more difficult than her steamy scenes with ex-husband Tom Cruise in 1999’s Eyes Wide Shut.

“I”m in the whole film (in Babygirl),” Kidman told GQ’s Ben Allen. “There are so many close-ups. It’s a full stripping of me.”

That stripping isn’t just a sexual thing. In one scene Kidman, whose face is one of the most intensely scrutinised in the entertainment world, is also in uncomfortably close focus when Romy’s forehead is being injected with Botox.

Babygirl director Reijn said the harsh nature of the film was the culmination of essentially a love letter to herself.

“The movie is a letter saying ‘Please try to be a little bit more at ease with the beast inside you,” she told GQ.

“To look at yourself and not be grossed out.”
