Nicole Kidman, Keith Urban finalise divorce after 19-year marriage, details of settlement revealed

Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban have finalised their divorce, reaching a settlement just three months after their shock separation made international headlines, agreeing to terms that dictate they will “not speak badly about each other”.
The Oscar-winning actress cited “irreconcilable differences” in her September 30 divorce filing to end her marriage to the New Zealand-born country music star.
A final court hearing was scheduled in Tennessee on January 6, however, Kidman waived her right to appear, having been seen departing Australia the day prior.

The divorce papers, which were signed by Urban on August 29 and Kidman on September 6, show the former couple are also waiving rights to each other’s separate assets.

Jointly purchased items, such as furniture and art, have already been divided evenly between them. Assets acquired individually, for example, cars registered in each person’s name, will remain with their respective owner.
Both Kidman and Urban will retain the right to possess any other items of personal property that were acquired before their marriage and will retain full ownership of their individual creative works.
The big question on everyone’s lips: what will happen to Kidman and Urban’s $60 million property portfolio?
According to the divorce papers, neither Kidman or Urban “owns real property titled in his or her individual name”, but rather holds property “through trusts, limited liability companies and/or other entities.”
Their real estate interests are “awarded to each party in accordance with the terms of such trusts, operating agreements, and other agreements between the parties, free and clear of any and all interest and claims by the other party”.
Parenting arrangement
Under a detailed custody agreement for their daughters, Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 15, both Kidman and Urban are required to “behave with each other and each child as to provide a loving, stable, consistent and nurturing relationship with the child even though they are divorced.”
“They will not speak badly of each other or the members of the family of the other parent. They will encourage each child to continue to love the other parent and be comfortable in both families,” the decree continued.
Kidman will be the primary residential parent, having Sunday and Faith for 306 days of the year. Urban was granted custody for 59 days of the year, with their daughters allowed to spend “every other weekend” with their father from 10am on Saturdays to 6pm on Sundays.
Urban will also get to see his daughters on Father’s Day each year, while Kidman will have the children every year for Easter and Mother’s Day.
The girls have lived in Nashville all their lives, and the documents give no indication that will change. The filing states that each parent earns more than $US100,000 per month and the court has ordered that neither will need to pay child support, as agreed by both parties.
With the settlement finalised, one of Hollywood’s most enduring marriages, spanning nearly two decades, has officially come to an end.
