‘Wear your bump out’: Aussie influencer Dominique Elissa’s message to pregnant women after fashion scrutiny
The 31-year-old has revealed how she has been scrutinised over her fashion while in her third trimester.
An Aussie influencer and model has encouraged other pregnant women to “embrace their bumps” after being branded “courageous” for her outfit.
Dominique Elissa is expecting her first child with husband Tom Bull at the beginning of next year and frequently shares her pregnancy journey with her 300,000 followers.
The 31-year-old took to TikTok at the weekend to share her recent experience of wearing a skirt and slightly cropped top while in her third trimester, with the model claiming she was stopped by multiple people over her outfit.

She continued: “I’ve been looked up and down by men, and I just feel judged.
The mother-to-be claimed she would not be changing her wardrobe despite the comments and urged other pregnant women to get “their bumps out”.
“I’m not going to just sit at home in track pants while I’m pregnant – I love getting dressed up, I love feeling good.
“This is a message to any of my preggy women: Wear your bump out, feel confident, and who cares about all those other people?”
The model’s video has since garnered hundreds of likes and comments, with people admiring the outfit and praising her message.
“Nah, they’re just jealous. You look better than me not pregnant,” one person commented with another adding: “No this outfit is so tea, the bump makes it even better!”
One pregnant fan wrote of her own experience, stating: “I love making people uncomfortable with my big belly!” with another fellow mother-to-be saying: “Right because I refuse to buy maternity clothes so if it fits and it shows the bump idgaf!”
The influencer’s message over ‘bump wear’ comes just days after Hollywood star Anne Hathaway caused an internet flurry, after images of her bare bump at the launch of her new film sent people online into meltdown.
As well as raising bizarre doubts about whether or not the bump was real, some people criticised the star’s attire on social media, calling it “ridiculous” and “tacky”.
It led to The Odyssey actress posting a video of her getting ready for the premiere, with the caption: “Fake hair, real bump.”
