Dancing With The Stars winner 2025: Robert Irwin crowned champion after getting more votes than Alix Earle

Robert Irwin was crowned the winner of Dancing With The Stars in America on Wednesday, propelling his celebrity status as one of the most recognisable Australians in the US.
The 21-year-old was in a nail-biting showdown against popular US influencer Alix Earle, but it was ultimately the charismatic wildlife warrior who received the most votes after combining the judges’ scores and public votes.
Despite dealing with a rib injury, Irwin completed three dances with his partner, Whitney Carson, with two of them receiving perfect scores.

“My sister said it best, thank you for changing my life,” he said, after his win.

The life-changing opportunity has catapulted the young conservationist into epic stardom after the TV show received a record amount of 55.9 million votes since November 11, according to the Los Angeles Times.
Conquering the popular American show adds to his celebrity status that has been on the rise since he was a toddler following around his Crocodile-hunting father Steve, who was a hit in the States before his tragic death in 2006.
Irwin has followed in his father’s footsteps, winning over millions of Americans thanks to his dedication to the environment, friendly persona and conventional good looks.
It has been reported that Irwin received an eye-watering salary for competing on the show, with each celeb paid a base salary of around $A188,000 for the rehearsal period and the first two weeks on the show, according to Variety in 2019.
Contestants then receive extra weekly bonuses if they stay longer, with several media outlets reporting that Irwin could be paid a total of between A$447,000 and A$606,000 for making it to the finale.
