Former TV presenter Carrie Bickmore has shared a heart-wrenching image of herself to remind her followers that “we all have sad days”.

The 44-year-old opened up about her struggles in an emotional Instagram post on Friday, saying she has lots of “crap” days.

“Scrolling through my camera roll this morning, I found this photo I sent a friend a few months ago when I was having a terrible day, and she had checked up on me,” she wrote alongside a photo of her crying.

“I don’t often post on the days I feel crap (and there are a lot of them) because I usually go quiet. But I thought it was worth sharing.

“We all have sad days/weeks/months for so many varied reasons, and if you are having a shit one, I hope tomorrow is a brighter day. You are not alone.”

Bickmore — who hosts a HIT radio show alongside Tommy Little — received an outpouring of love from friends and followers, with many commending her for being so vulnerable.

“Social media is full of people putting on brave faces or ‘selling a dream’, kudos for the reality, i also have my ‘crap days’,” one person commented.

Another user said: “Thank you for sharing, it’s a reminder to always choose kindness! We truly never know what challenges someone is facing or the extent of them. Amen to those friends that simply check in, they know they don’t have the answers, but a simple message is sometimes all you need to make your day a little brighter!”

Model Megan Gale, Bachelor star Anna Robards and singer Tones and I showed support with a simple comment consisting of just love-heart emojis.
