Aussie screen star Isla Fisher has revealed her newest “dating ick” as she plays the field post-divorce from Sacha Baron Cohen.

Appearing on a Happy Hour clip alongside her Spa Weekend co-stars Leslie Mann, Anna Faris, and Michelle Buteau, the Perth-raised actor detailed a recent turn-off she experienced while dating a man she had feelings for.

“I have a dating ick that happened recently,” she began.

“I liked somebody, his dog ran away and he chased his dog. But instead of chasing upright, he ran low with his hands outstretched. Like a cartoon!”

The mother of three, 50, then re-enacted the unattractive movements that had led the gentleman to strike out, throwing her arms out and extending them straight ahead.

“And the ick was growing and growing, and by the time he caught the dog, he had lost the p.....,” she concluded.

Despite the conversation taking place at a restaurant, albeit one that had been cleared out to host the actors, comedic veteran Anna Faris felt compelled to re-create the moment.

“I wanna give this a try,” Faris said.

The Scary Movie 4 star proceeded to run frantically around the venue with locked arms and a worried facial expression.

With the ladies cackling at the performance, Fisher sardonically changed her tune, asking: “Why am I in love?”

Each of the women then chimed in with their own relationship stories, as Buteau lauded her co-stars’ commitment to animating Fisher’s dating faux-par.

“I wish I committed to my husband’s blow... more than these ladies committed to a bit out of a door,” she teased.

The Wedding Crashers star married British actor Baron Cohen in 2010, though the former pair announced their separation in April 2024 before officially divorcing in June 2025.

They share children Olive, Elula, and Montgomery.

Fisher retains her Aussie accent in her latest film Spa Weekend, a comedy shot in Queensland that descends into chaos when her trainwreck character Mel joins three friends on a spa weekend.

“I definitely was channelling a lot of people from my childhood,” Fisher told The Daily Telegraph of the role.

“There’s something about Aussie women. We’re just tough. We play dirty – and so there’s been something fun about playing Mel with that backdrop of how I was raised and bringing that kind of redneck, bogan, Perth-Aussie thing into this quite uptight American puritanical group.”
