Jamie Bigg: UK TV star of Gladiators nicknamed ‘Giant’ claims his relationship with OF creator got him fired
The fan favourite believes his romance with an adult entertainer forced producers of his show to let him go.

A UK TV star has claimed he was fired from a BBC series as the result of maintaining a relationship with an OnlyFans creator.
Jamie Bigg — aka Giant — is a fan favourite of the Gladiators series, and defended his love for adult entertainer Taylor Ryan on Good Morning Britain less than a week after being let go by the sports entertainment show.
His axing came shortly before he went public with the couple’s romance, and said he was given an “ultimatum” by powerbrokers: choose his TV gig, or his girlfriend.

“I think it’s very important that fans of the show understand that Giant is a character on that show, and Jamie is a person that has a private relationship,” Bigg said.
“And I feel that there’s a big injustice here for the fans of the show that haven’t been given a voice or a decision on this matter.”
Asked if he felt Gladiators’ powerbrokers had taken issue with him being seen in public with the adult entertainment figure, Bigg said he believed the pair’s desire to become more open with their relationship did not sit comfortably with BBC big wigs.
“Moving forwards with our relationship, we expressed a want to become more public because at that point we weren’t on social media together,” the star added.
“And that’s what sparked conversations behind closed doors, and we didn’t get any real information off the back of that other than your contract’s not being renewed for season four.”

Bigg revealed he was “faced with an ultimatum, and something didn’t stick right with my values and principles”.
Gladiators pits ‘superhuman’ athletes against everyday contenders in an arena-like setting.
The performer imagined others in his position may have found it difficult to abandon the enviable TV role.
Attempting to dig deeper into his departure from the series, Good Morning Britain obtained a response from BBC and the show’s production house Hungry Bear Media.
Unfortunately for Bigg and his fans, there would have been little comfort in the statement received.

“After three formidable series, Giant is leaving Gladiators. We’d like to thank him for everything he has contributed to the show and wish him well for the future,” the statement read.
Last week, Bigg told his social media followers that he wouldn’t be returning for season four, and was grateful for his time on the show.
He hoped it would spark a healthy conversation about relationships.
“We believe this is the first step towards positive change and important conversations. Love is love, right?” Bigg said.
“To everyone supporting us right now, I truly appreciate it. It means a lot.”
