Popular New York City TikTok influencer Eva Evans died by suicide at the age of 29.
Her death sent shockwaves through the social media community earlier this week after her sister Lila Joy announced her tragic passing on Instagram at the weekend.
It’s now been revealed the star was discovered in her apartment on Saturday evening by a friend who had access to her home, as reported by TMZ on Tuesday.

Her sister’s tribute post on Instagram, one day after Evans’ death, showed the deep love she has for her sibling.
“Yesterday my family received news that our sweet, fabulous, creative, caring, hilarious Eva, my beautiful sister, has died,” she wrote. alongside a smiling photo of Evans.
“After 24 hours, I still find myself in a constant cycle of denial and acceptance, so I know how unbelievable and hard to process this news will be.”
Evans was also a rising star in showbiz after she co-directed, co-wrote and starred in the Prime Video series Club Rat.
A special service celebrating the star’s life was held in Manhattan on Tuesday with the invite open to anyone who loved Evans.
Evans has more than 305,000 followers on TikTok and 28,000 followers on Instagram where she frequently posted about life in New York City as a budding filmmaker.
Her devastated fans showed an outpouring of love and support for the young star and her grieving family.
Uncut Gems star Julia Fox also took to TikTok to share an emotional tribute to Evans.
“She was a TikTok star and a New York icon. I always saw her like a little sister and I know she looked up to me,” Fox said.
“That’s the kind of person she was, always sticking up for me, and she passed away. She was so young. Still had so much to do in life. But she lived life to the fullest.”
Fellow TikTok star Tefi Pessoa said: “I am so sorry for your loss. I’ll light a candle for her tonight. Sending you and everyone who loved her my deepest condolences. I’ll tell my grandparents to show her around.”
