Olympic swimmer Stephanie Rice marries partner Mark Lassey at WA’s Sandalford Wines
Olympic swimming champion Stephanie Rice has tied the knot in a stunning ceremony at one of WA’s most popular wineries.
The 36-year-old exchanged vows with her pastor husband Mark Lassey at Sandalford Wines on Thursday night, just four months after announcing her engagement.
In a heartwarming Instagram post, Rice said the day was “everything she had dreamed it would be” and was “absolutely worth” the 36-year wait.

“As we step into this new chapter as husband and wife, where two become one, our hearts are so full. The day was everything we dreamed it would be — overflowing with love, joy, and the tangible presence of God. It felt like heaven touched earth.”
The former Aussie athlete wore a stunning off-the-shoulder gown and paired it with a veil. Lassey looked dapper in a white suit jacket and black pants.
Rice’s celebrity friends flocked to the comments to congratulate the newlyweds.
Bachelor winner Anna Robards said: “WOW!! You look incredible. Congratulations”, while her husband Tim commented: “Congrats”.
“Congratulations beautiful !! So happy for you ❤️❤️ xx,” AFL media personality Abbey Holmes said.
Lassey popped the big question to Rice in September at the Atlantis the Royal in Dubai.
