Radiohead announce first Australian tour in 15 years
Radiohead have announced they will play 16 shows across three Australian cities next year.
Radiohead will end their 15-year exile from Down Under with new residency shows set for Perth, Melbourne and Sydney in 2027.
The UK art rockers on Monday confirmed that they would be playing 16 shows in Australia from next May to June.
Those dates start on May 3 with a four-night stint at Perth’s RAC Arena before the group heads to Melbourne for a six-show run at Rod Laver Arena from May 13.

That run likely coincides with the 30-year anniversary of their hit 1997 album, Paranoid Android.
After its staggered release from May to June, the critically acclaimed record went on to sell 17.5 million copies across the world with a number of singles released from it, including Paranoid Android and Karma Police.
Guitarist Ed O’Brien had earlier sparked speculation of the group’s return to Australia in an interview with Rolling Stone magazine.
“We’d love to come to Australia,” he told the music publication. “It’s just a question of when.”
“What we’re going to do is, every year we’re going to do a different continent, and we’re going to do 20 shows each year. No more, no less.”
The group is set to continue on to Japan after finishing up their Australian tour.
Radiohead have restricted tickets sales to fans who register on the band’s official website. Registration closes on Thursday.
