Reality TV star Bill Goldsmith and partner Issy Eisermann have penned an emotional tribute to their daughter Olive, after she was “born sleeping” at just 27 weeks.

Goldsmith, who rose to fame on Ali Oetjen’s season of The Bachelorette in 2018, shared the heartbreaking news on Instagram.

“Our sweet girl, Olive May Goldsmith, was born sleeping on Thursday, 31st October at 4.14am at 27,” the pair wrote.

“She put up the strongest fight, especially these last few weeks, with all odds against her and continued to surprise the doctors and midwives with her strength to hold on, until she no longer could.

“She is beyond perfect - too perfect for this broken world. I have never seen a little face and body so purely perfect. Olive had her mum’s lips, smile lines, and cheeks, and her dad’s long legs.

“We have never known a love like this and have never felt a pain like this. The words ‘I’m sorry, there is no heartbeat’ will haunt us forever.”

Goldsmith explained the couple spent three days in hospital with Olive, after her birth.

“(They) were equally the most special and hardest days we will ever live. We cuddled endlessly, showered her with kisses, dressed her, read to her, sang to her, and took her outside.

“We told her every second how perfect and loved she is. Leaving Olive was the hardest thing we will ever have to do. No parent should ever have to say goodbye to their baby or walk out of the hospital without them.”

The pair then wrote touching words to the newborn.

“We love you more than you could ever imagine, Olive. You were a fighter until the end and kept your mum and dad strong throughout the most heartbreaking journey,” they wrote.

They went on to thank the hospital’s medical team.

“We cannot thank our medical team across three hospitals enough for their support and expertise guiding us through this incredibly tough time, especially the last seven weeks,” they wrote.

“To our family and friends who have supported us throughout this long and heartbreaking journey, we are so blessed and grateful.

“The support we have received, along with all of your prayers, love, and kindness, is something we will forever hold close and be endlessly thankful for.

“Until we meet again, our sweet girl, Olive.”

The couple’s family and friends reached out to offer support.

“This broke my heart, I’m so sorry guys. Sending you all my love,” YouTuber Mitch Orval wrote.

“Tears Bill ... Little Olive angel,” Gogglebox star Isabelle Silbery wrote.

The beautiful couple shared the news announcing the pregnancy in September.

“Baby Goldsmith arriving January 2026! Can’t believe you’re halfway grown already.”
