Sean 'Diddy' Combs' prison release date changed again despite alleged prison fight
Disgraced rapper Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs' is currently serving a 50-month prison sentence.
Sean “Diddy” Combs’ prison release date has changed again.
The 55-year-old rapper is currently serving a 50-month sentence after being convicted of two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution and, including time served since his arrest in September 2024, was initially due for release in June 2028.
The date had been moved several times since then and now, despite reports he was moved to solitary confinement last week following a fight with another inmate, records from the Federal Bureau of Prisons show he will now be eligible for release on January 24, 2028.

It was revealed in June that Combs’ release date had been moved to February 2028, having initially being slated for June 4, 2028 and then moved to April 25, 2028.
But last week, doubts were raised as early release is dependent on good behaviour and the I’ll Be Missing You hitmaker had reportedly got into inside FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey after he was dissed by another inmate.
Sources told TMZ the two men got into a scuffle and started pushing one another and throwing punches, with Diddy having “held his own” against the unidentified inmate.
Prison staff quickly intervened to separate the men and the Bad Boy Records founder was immediately put in isolation, though it is unclear if he is still in solitary confinement..
A representative for the prison told the outlet: “We are not at liberty to disclose or provide internal information pertaining to any inmate in our custody. Such information would not be available for the public domain.”
The Federal Bureau of Prisons also declined to comment because they don’t issue statements on “disciplinary matters, or other information regarding individual inmates due to privacy, safety, and security concerns.”
The rapper’s eight-week trial in 2025 resulted in acquittals on charges of sex trafficking and racketeering, but he was convicted on prostitution-related offences.
A representative for the shamed star previously insisted Combs is using his time behind bars to take his sobriety “seriously”.
The spokesperson dismissed claims Combs had been caught drinking homemade alcohol during his time in prison- insisting his client is focusing on remaining clean and sober.
Combs was transferred from Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, New York City to FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey on October 30.
FCI Fort Dix is a low security facility and his legal team had requested he be moved to the facility in New Jersey because of its access to drug rehabilitation schemes.
