The couple first started dating after appearing on this year’s season of MasterChef Australia: Back to Win.
“Nothing was ever rushed or forced — we just enjoyed spending time together,” Cleary told Stellar in June.
“And Sarah, being from Melbourne, knew all the places to go. So we’d go to the beach, or go-karting, and we went out for lots of dinners.”
When Todd faced elimination, Cleary confessed his feelings. Though the timing wasn’t perfect, Todd quickly realised she felt the same.
The couple announced in October they were starting a family together, later revealing they were expecting twins.
In November, they shared the news in a golf-themed gender reveal post on Instagram.
“What’s better than a hole in one, two holes in one!” they wrote at the time.
Cleary has since moved from Sydney to Melbourne to live with Todd and her 14-year-old son, Phoenix, from a previous relationship.
Cleary first competed in the MasterChef kitchen in 2023 as a contestant on season 15, while this year marked Todd’s third time on the show.
The mum-of-three first competed in 2014 on season six and returned again in 2022 for the MasterChef Australia: Fans and Favourites season.
