The Farmer Wants A Wife reunion answered the biggest question on everyone’s minds: which couples survived after the cameras stopped rolling?

More than a month after the farmers made their final decisions, the cast reunited to reveal where their relationships stand today.

While Sunday night’s episode showed some couples planning a future together, 7NEWS.com.au can reveal not all of those relationships lasted.

Mushroom and beef farmer Alex and Eddy had already called it quits before the reunion, but the biggest bombshell came after filming wrapped.

Two couples who were still together when the reunion was filmed — Dylan and Ally and Jason and Poppy — have since broken up.

Speaking to 7NEWS.com.au, rodeo cowboy and sheep farmer Dylan admitted he wasn’t ready to compromise and give up his busy lifestyle, and that wasn’t fair to Ally.

After the reunion, the pair went on a road trip together before Ally moved to Adelaide to spend time with Dylan on the farm.

But the reality of farm life and Dylan’s demanding schedule soon took its toll.

“It was good spending that time with her, but I felt bad,” Dylan told 7NEWS.com.au.

“Because I was obviously back to doing my thing and I knew that she wasn’t.

“I think she was happy, but I don’t know if it was what she wanted.

“It would have been hard for her because she’s obviously at the farm and there’s not too much for her to do when I’m at work.

“I don’t think it was real fair and I was feeling really bad.”

As time passed, Dylan realised he was “stringing Ally along for a future” he could no longer see.

“Throughout the experience it all made sense but once we got back to reality, it all sunk in,” Dylan said.

“I decided it wasn’t fair on Ally and called it.”

After spending three weeks together, Dylan and Ally broke up in January this year.

“Ally is a really gorgeous person and has a lot going for her,” Dylan said.

“But I couldn’t give her what she wants and she deserves a fella that’s going to give her all that, and then some.

“She definitely wanted to make it work, but I wasn’t willing to meet her halfway, I think is the best way to put it.”

Despite not finding his future partner on the show, Dylan hasn’t given up on love and believes when the right person comes along, he’ll know.

He has no regrets about his time on Farmer Wants A Wife and is grateful for the friendships he formed, not only with Ally but also with runner-up Scarlett.

“I’m ready for the commitment, I just think I need someone that’s into the same thing that I’m into and aligns with my life,” Dylan said.

While he admits things might have gone differently with polo player Scarlett, he stands by his decision to follow his feelings for Ally.

“All three of us didn’t get the end result of love, but we have found an unreal friendship, which I’ll cherish for the rest of my life,” Dylan said.

“And I hope they feel the same.”

Farmer Jason also confirmed to 7NEWS.com.au he and Poppy ended their relationship shortly after the reunion.

The dad-of-two said they both flew back to Brisbane after filming wrapped.

“When we got back Poppy went quiet,” Jason said.

“I thought there was something wrong.”

Jason said after sending Poppy several text messages, they eventually spoke on the phone.

According to the dairy farmer, Poppy ended the relationship during a one-minute phone call.

“I know Poppy said she couldn’t fall for someone in such a short time,” Jason said.

“But I had feelings for her and thought everything was going fine, so it was a shock.”

While Poppy told Jason he was a good guy and had done nothing wrong, she “wasn’t feeling it”.

According to Jason, before the reunion, they had been talking and texting every day and seeing each other regularly.

“So when she called and ended it I sort of felt weird afterwards,” Jason said.

“I didn’t get to ask her why because it was such a short phone call.”

Apart from exchanging a few text messages, he hasn’t spoken to Poppy since.

“I wasn’t expecting to pick a girl and they leave straight away,” Jason said.

“I wasn’t expecting that outcome.

“Breakups aren’t easy anyway, but I just wasn’t expecting how she sort of did it.”

Despite his journey ending in heartbreak, Jason says he has no regrets and enjoyed his time on the show.

“I knew from the beginning there was a spark,” Alex said, during the reunion episode.

Despite some personal red flags, including Eddy’s strong faith, Alex chose to leave the show early with her.

Although their relationship divided viewers, Alex admitted he had “tunnel vision” for Eddy.

However, once filming ended, things quickly unravelled.

Alex revealed Eddy “pulled back” before ending the relationship, saying she broke up with him during a 10-minute video call.

“I can’t explain why she did, what she did,” Alex said.

“It was really hard to navigate in my mind, I wanted to keep trying and figure it out with her.

“I don’t know why she flipped so suddenly.”

Sharing her side of the story, Eddy said spending time with Alex on a road trip after the show made her realise they weren’t compatible.

“Then time away from Alex made me realise it wasn’t working, and that wasn’t fair to Alex, or me,” Eddy said.

She explained while she’s naturally easy-going in relationships, she found Alex too “intense”.

“We are just very different people,” Eddy said.

Alex said he had been upfront from the beginning he didn’t want to raise his future children religious, and claimed Eddy had indicated during filming she was willing to compromise.

Once the cameras stopped rolling, however, Eddy realised she couldn’t walk away from her faith.

Despite understanding her reasoning, Alex believed she gave up too quickly and didn’t give the relationship a fair chance.

Apple farmer Zac and Maya

“It’s going to be tough moving forward,” Zac admitted on Sunday night’s episode.

Long distance has been the biggest hurdle for the couple, with Maya living and working in Melbourne while apple farmer Zac remains in South Australia’s Adelaide Hills.

But despite the distance, the pair are still going strong.

“Spark has ignited into a flame,” Zac said.

“We are still together.”

Maya revealed she plans to make the move to South Australia within the next six to 12 months.

Zac couldn’t hide his feelings for Maya.

“She is someone who I feel most comfortable with, we’ve had so many laughs and good times,” Zac said.

“I want to spend my future with Maya – potentially be my wife one day.”

Almond farmer Jarrad and Brodie

“This time I really wanted to get it right,” Jarrad said.

The almond farmer, who has been married before and is a dad to two boys, admitted maintaining the relationship after filming wrapped hasn’t been easy.

Still, both almond farmer Jarrad and Brodie said they’re building a strong connection, despite it being early days.

Brodie has already met Jarrad’s sons and described the experience as “amazing”, saying it was special to see him in his element as a dad.

Looking ahead, the couple already have a vision for their future.

“A happy household home with the boys running around,” Jarrad said.

“Maybe a child of our own at some point, and life amongst the almond trees.”
