Farmer Zac and Maya share relationship update after Farmer Wants A Wife

Farmer Zac and Maya were the only couple still together following the bombshell Farmer Wants A Wife reunion.

On Sunday, the loved-up couple shared a reel on Instagram giving an update on their relationship, which appears to still be going strong.

The video features a montage of clips of their time together, which Zac captioned: “This kids is how I met your mother.”

“19 weeks today,” Maya commented on the clip.

Fans quickly snapped up the news, assuming it was a baby announcement and sharing their well-wishes.

However, 7NEWS.com.au can confirm Zac, 25, and Maya, 22, are not expecting a baby and the post was meant as a joke.

During the reunion episode, farmer Zac admitted long distance had been the biggest hurdle for the couple, with Maya living and working in Melbourne while apple farmer Zac remained in South Australia’s Adelaide Hills.

But despite the distance, the pair were still going strong.

“Spark has ignited into a flame,” Zac said.

“We are still together.”

At the time, Maya revealed she planned to make the move to South Australia within the next six to 12 months.

During this year’s season of Famer Wants A Wife, the apple farmer’s journey came down to an agonising choice between Maya and runner-up Mieke.

And, while he was taken with Mieke’s beauty, he ultimately saw a future with Maya — a decision that left Maya “over the moon”.

“I’m so happy. I’m definitely falling in love with him. He is the guy I’ve been looking for,” Maya said.

During the reunion episode, apple farmer Zac couldn’t hide his feelings for Maya.

“She is someone who I feel most comfortable with, we’ve had so many laughs and good times,” Zac said.

“I want to spend my future with Maya – potentially be my wife one day.”

More than a month after the farmers made their final decisions, the cast reunited to reveal where their relationships stand today.

While Sunday night’s episode showed some couples planning a future together, 7NEWS.com.au later revealed not all of those relationships lasted.

Mushroom and beef farmer Alex and Eddy had already called it quits before the reunion, but the biggest bombshell came after filming wrapped.

Three couples who were still together when the reunion was filmed — Dylan and Ally and Jason and Poppy — had since broken up.

Another couple were added to that list on Wednesday, as Jarrad and Brodie announced they had also parted ways.

“Following the end of Farmer Wants a Wife, there’s naturally been interest in our relationship status,” Jarrad and Brodie said in a joint statement.

“While we’re not together at this time, we remain an important part of each other’s lives and have a great deal of respect and care for one another.

“We’re incredibly grateful for the experience we shared and for everyone’s support throughout our journey.”
