Seven sports presenter Mel McLaughlin is set to reveal her shock health battle on Wednesday night after being absent from her TV role since December.
The 46-year-old will sit down with close friend and colleague Mark Ferguson to speak about her private ordeal on 7NEWS Sydney at 6pm AEDT.
McLaughlin has been receiving medical treatment for months. She has been away from her job reading sports headlines this year, with veteran journalist Matt White stepping into her role for the time being.

McLaughlin began her decorated media career in 2005 and before she arrived at Seven spent time at Fox Sports and Network Ten.
