Netflix to disappear from dozens of TV models across Australia
The Netflix app is set to disappear from dozens of Sony television models from today, all of them over a decade old.
The streaming service will also disappear from a number of Apple TV devices.
The change to Sony televisions will come into effect on July 24, affecting 37 Sony BRAVIA television models in the Asia Pacific region, including Australia.

Sony said the app will continue to work until this date.
However, Netflix can still be streamed on the affected models using a supported television streaming device, such as Google Chromecast or Amazon Fire TV Stick.
While Apple TV streaming devices can currently be used to stream Netflix, from the end of the month not all models of the device will be able to do so.
From July 31, Netflix will no longer be available on Apple TV second and third-generation devices.
