Shaun Micallef’s Origin Odyssey
Tuesday, 7.30pm, SBS
With Christopher Nolan’s epic at the forefront of everyone’s minds right now, what better time for the second season of Shaun Micallef’s Origin Odyssey to hit screens.

It pretty much sets the tone.
Micallef is taking a selection of well-known Aussies on a journey back to their family roots — think Who Do You Think You Are, with more jokes.
It’s an absolute delight.
The first episode sees actress Pia Miranda packing her bags for Italy, to reconnect with her Nonno’s Sicilian roots.
They’re tripping over to the Aeolian Islands, to the spot where Miranda’s grandfather lived — and by sheer coincidence, on the ferry over she meets a local who turns out to be her cousin!
Only in Italy.
Micallef makes a charming host — Miranda, an equally engaging subject.
In fact, all the celebs picked for this year’s season are a delight to spend time with.
They include Matt Okine, who is returning to Ghana, Kate Langbroek, who is off to Jamaica, Tony Armstrong, who is exploring his Irish side, Denise Scott who is reassessing her life after visiting Germany, and Luke McGregor, who is donning a kilt and heading to Scotland — they all make fabulously interesting travelling companions.
This is a great way to get to know some of these celebs a little better — Micallef is, as always, a whimsical guide.
Love this show — don’t miss it.
TV Week Logie Awards 2026
Sunday, 7pm, Seven and 7Plus
What’s not to love about Aussie TV’s night of nights? This year, the celebrations kick off from 7pm, with Sonia Kruger overseeing red carpet coverage before Robert Irwin, the event’s youngest ever host, takes the reigns. Presenters include Simon Baker, Asher Keddie, Tim Minchin, Amanda Keller and a heap of others while Peking Duk will perform. My Logies love runneth deep — I’m invested!
Lanterns
Monday, streaming on HBO Max
Just when you thought there couldn’t possibly be room for one more comic book spin-off: Aaron Pierre and Kyle Chandler star as a bunch of intergalactic detectives dispatched to investigate a grizzly murder in America’s Heartland. Ozark’s showrunner Chris Mundy is behind this Green Lantern-adjacent show, with Damon Lindelof (Watchmen and The Leftovers) co-writing and serving as EP. With a pedigree like this, buzz is building.
You’re Killing Me
Monday, streaming on Stan
I had high hopes for this cosy crime drama. It stars Brooke Shields as bestselling crime novelist Allie, who gets drawn into a murder investigation for real after her close friend meets an untimely end at a book event she’s at. Allie joins forces with a young podcaster (Amalia Williamson) and together they’re on the case. This should have been better, but it’s an easy enough way to while away an hour.
Outer Banks
Thursday, streaming on Netflix
It’s hard to overstate just how massive this show is for Netflix — it regularly tops the streamer’s Top 10 across the world, with a passionate fan base dissecting every episode. Season five will be the last in the series, picking up immediately from the devastating events of the season four finale in Morocco. The Pogues are grieving their loss, and on the hunt for the Blue Crown, which might be the answer to all their problems. One for fans.
