If your breakfast is feeling a little repetitive, these easy high-protein recipes are here to mix things up.

Custard Toast: Sweet version

Ingredients

  • 3 tbsp Farmers Union Greek Style High Protein Yogurt
  • 2 thick slices of white or fruit bread
  • 1 egg
  • Blueberries, raspberries and/or strawberries, for topping
  • Maple syrup or honey for drizzle

Method

  1. Whisk egg and Farmers Union Greek Style High Protein Yogurt until smooth and custardy.
  2. Press the centre of each slice of bread to create a shallow hollow.
  3. Pour the yogurt custard mixture into the hollow.
  4. Top with your choice of berries.
  5. If using an air fryer, cook for 8 to 10 minutes at 180 degrees, checking at 8 minutes until golden and toasted.
  6. If using a fan-forced oven, cook for 12 to 15 minutes at 180 degrees until the custard is just set and the toast is golden and toasted.
  7. Finish with a drizzle of maple syrup or honey and enjoy!

Custard Toast: Savoury version

Ingredients

  • 3 tbsp Farmers Union Greek Style High Protein Yogurt
  • 1 egg
  • 1 thick slice of white or grainy bread
  • Avocado for topping
  • Dukkah to sprinkle

Method

  1. Whisk the egg and Farmers Union Greek Style High Protein Yogurt until smooth and custardy.
  2. Press the centre of the bread to create a shallow hollow.
  3. Pour the yogurt custard into the hollow.
  4. If using an air fryer, cook for 8 to 10 minutes at 180 degrees, checking at 8 minutes until golden and toasted.
  5. If using a fan-forced oven, cook for 12 to 15 minutes at 180 degrees until the custard is just set and the toast is golden and toasted.
  6. Top with avocado and a sprinkle of dukkah and enjoy!

Choc Honey Bliss Balls

Ingredients

Makes: Approximately 12 small balls

  • ¼ cup peanut butter
  • ¼ cup Farmers Union Greek Style High Protein Yogurt
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • ½ cup rolled oats
  • ¼ cup almond meal
  • ¼ cup LSA (linseed, sunflower and almond) mix
  • 3 tbsp chocolate chips
  • Cocoa powder or chia seeds to roll, optional

Method

  1. Stir together dry ingredients, including oats, almond meal, LSA and chocolate chips until well combined.
  2. Stir together wet ingredients, including Farmers Union Greek Style High Protein Yogurt, peanut butter and honey until well combined.
  3. Pour the yogurt and peanut butter mixture into the dry ingredients.
  4. Roll tablespoon-sized portions into balls.
  5. Roll in cocoa powder or chia seeds if desired.
  6. Chill for 15 mins in the refrigerator to firm up, then enjoy!
