McDonald’s unveils Vegemite McShaker Fries, McOz return, and new summer treats in Australia
McDonald’s has announced a number of new menu items, with one iconic Australian product set to shake things up.
There will be a twist on McDonald’s chips, with the fast food giant revealing its new Vegemite McShaker Fries. Vegemite-flavoured seasoning will be paired with the fries, which McDonald’s touts as “the ultimate summer snack or side”.
The classic McOz will also be making a triumphant return for the first time since 2018, a beef burger topped with beetroot, onion, lettuce, tomato, cheese, mustard, and ketchup.

“This summer, we’re serving up Aussie favourites with a menu full of local flavours and feel-good moments,” McDonald’s Australia’s marketing director Amanda Nakad said.
“From the return of the McOz to the Vegemite McShaker Fries, we’re making every Macca’s run this summer a celebration of what it means to be Aussie.”
The new menu will be available from January 8, except for the caramel thickshake, which will hit stores on January 22.
