“I was today years old when I learned how to easily cut and peel a mandarin and an orange,” she said.

“If you’re a toddler mum you realise how huge this is.”

Instead of cutting from the top down, the mum sliced the mandarin in half from its side, before pushing the halved segments out of its skin.

“This hack blew my mind,” added a second.

“What in the Harry Potter sorcery is this?” asked another.

While one suggested: “My life changed just now”.

Many parents said their young kids preferred their mandarins prepared this one, with one mum saying: “My stepdaughter now always asks for flower oranges.”

Another shared: “I’m a nanny to a toddler who is obsessed with mandarins and this just changed the game.”

A home cook recently stunned the internet with her egg peeling hack.

She says peeling eggs actually has nothing to do with how you cook them, what you put in the pan with them or whether they go in the pot with cold or boiling water.

“The trick is very simple,” she said in a Facebook group.

All you have to do is boil your eggs as per usual.

Once the eggs are boiled to your liking, empty the pot of water, and fill it back up with cold water.

“Let the eggs cool,” she said.

“Once they are cool enough, crack every shell all over and put them back in the pan without peeling.

“Drain the water again, add fresh cold water and leave the cracked eggs in it for five minutes.”

She said that, if you follow this method, the shells just “slide off”.

“You’ll have perfect eggs every time,” she said.

The home cook posted her simple method after noticing a lot of people in the group were “struggling” with peeling eggs perfectly.
