Mormon Mom Gone Wrong: Daughter of abusive mummy blogger Ruby Franke slams Lifetime movie about her family
The daughter of convicted child abuser Ruby Franke has slammed an upcoming movie based on the traumatic events that happened to her family.
Shari Franke spoke out against the Lifetime film on social media, claiming the network had failed to contact her family about the new movie detailing her mother’s crimes.
Mormon Mom Gone Wrong: The Ruby Franke Story retells the downfall of Franke, 42, a once popular American mumfluencer who was later convicted of child abuse.

Shari said she was left reeling after seeing a preview of the film, set to be released on October 26.
“I saw the trailer suddenly in class and had an anxiety attack,” she told her Instagram followers.
“None of us were contacted about the movie.
“This movie is trash and only hurts my siblings more.”
In February, Franke was sentenced to 30 years in prison for brutally abusing two of her six children in a “concentration camp-like setting”.
Her business partner Jodi Hildebrandt was also sentenced to 30 years after it was revealed she was involved in the abuse.
Shari went on to share another post asking followers not to support the film.
“Here’s my daily reminder about the Lifetime movie. Please do not support this movie,” she wrote.
“It is traumatic for me to see this happen. Please help me and thank you for supporting me.
“To help, just do not watch the movie or the trailer or any of the promotions.”
Frank and Hildebrandt were arrested last year after one of Franke‘s sons escaped from a property in Ivins, Utah, and ran to a neighbour‘s home to ask for food and water.
Two children, aged 12 and nine, had been forced to live outside, were denied food and punished physically if they were caught trying to drink, it was alleged. Their wrists and ankles had been handcuffed.
