Neighbours star Madeleine West, 45, announces the birth of her seventh child: ‘Earthside at last’

Neighbours actress Madeleine West has announced the birth of her seventh child.

The overjoyed, 45, took to Instagram on Saturday, sharing a glimpse of the infant.

“Earthside at last… and utterly perfect,” West wrote.

The Aussie actress did not reveal her youngest child’s name or their sex, preferring to keep those details private.

West was immediately inundated with well-wishers from her celebrity friends.

“Can’t wait to meet this angel ... Congratulations and so much love to you and your family. What a blessing beautiful,” Real Housewives of Melbourne star, Jackie Gillies, wrote.

“Hello!!!!!” Killing Heidi frontwoman Ella Hooper wrote.

“Congratulations mumma!!!!!! so much love to you,” Christie Hayes added.

The actress publicly announced her surprise pregnancy back in January on Instagram, as she cradled her baby bump in a number of sweet images.

“WHOOPS!” she captioned the post.

“Thought it was #perimenopause. I thought WRONG!

“It’s not too much Christmas pudding either. And I couldn’t be happier.

“Not too sure about the title ‘Geriatric mum’ but here we are, and I’m winding back a little to grow this little surprise package I’ve dubbed. (Baby number 7, couldn’t help myself).

“I don’t have much more to say right now, but I’ve noticed I don’t hear much about older parents. l know you must be out there. Just seems we are invisible.”

Madeleine already shares six children with her former husband, celebrity chef Shannon Bennett, 49 — Phoenix, 19, Hendrix, 16, Xascha, 14, Xanthe, 12, and twins Xalia and Margaux, 10.

The actress was most recently romantically linked to environmentalist Maximo Bottaro, but it is unclear if the pair are still together.

The actress split from ex-husband Bennett in 2018.
