A statement home built by renowned Melbourne builders Liefting Merlo Homes for co-owner Adam Liefting and his family has been listed for sale in the inner bayside suburb of Elwood, with a price range of $5-5.2 million.

The striking five-bedroom, four-bathroom home at 40 Goldsmith Street was completed in 2023 and listing agent Sam Gamon from Chisolm & Gamon said Liefting, his wife and two daughters have been living in the home since its completion.

"It's an exceptional, one-off bespoke home but Adam and his family are now looking to upsize, which is the reason they are selling," Gamon said.

Records show the home last sold in 2021 for $2.225 million.

The builders have repurposed materials from the site's original property and created an eye-catching faade made from bagged brick walls, feature doors made from steel reeded-glass and a striking barrel dormer window upstairs.

"That dormer window is a one-off statement. You just don't see that. It's pretty special," Gamon said.

The stunning craftsmanship apparent from the exterior and complemented by landscape gardens, continues inside.

Carefully selected materials and sweeping curves can be found throughout the light-filled interior, where extravagant splashes of luxury marble, imported limestone and European Oak, sit alongside bespoke cabinetry, floor-to-ceiling glass, exposed beams and cleverly placed skylights.

"I would say the design elements and the floor plan are a real drawcard for this home," Gamon says.

"It's been designed to maximise the natural light and so it floods in through the custom staircase and windows, into the gourmet kitchen and living zone."

"As well as the amount of light it gets, I think people are also impressed by the amount of accommodation. It is deceptively big," he says.

The home boasts two large living spaces, including a stunning sunken fireside lounge in the open plan entertaining area, and a second TV lounge, which looks over the front garden and features a climate controlled 'wine wall' for 300 bottles.

It also boasts a flexible study zone and an outdoor studio, above the garage.

"Another feature of the home is that it has lots of different living zones, plus a study and four bedrooms, which is very appealing for families," he said.

The home also boasts four, bright, modern bathrooms.

Outside, meanwhile, a circular gas-heated pool with a backdrop of tiered succulents, takes centre stage, surrounded by a private yet low maintenance designer garden, leading to the studio.

"We've had a lot of really good interest from families, some with younger kids and others with kids in their late teens to early twenties.

"It's definitely captured a pretty broad audience," Gamon says.
