“It is the ultimate family home,” Shiels and Co listing agent Peter Shiels said.

CoreLogic records show the owners bought the house for $900,000 in 2002.

Set on 658 square metres, the 1960s weatherboard home’s original three-bdroom, one-bathroom floorplan was expanded with an extension.

The house is fully renovated inside and out, with a modern and contemporary design.

Features of the home include timber barn doors, high ceilings and a wood fireplace in the family room.

“The owner has done a complete renovation,” he said.

“It is unrecognisable from the original home, and it has been beautifully executed.”

A galley-style kitchen with exposed timber beams and green splashback tiles is at the heart of the vast open-plan space with high set windows in the dining area, living room and family room.

A price guide is yet to be determined before the first open house inspection on February 15.

Mr Shiels said he has been “flooded” with inquiries since the property went live to market this week.

“It is attracting a lot of attention,” he said.

“It is on one of the premier streets in Charlestown, so the location is also outstanding.”

According to CoreLogic, the median house price in Charlestown is $936,000.
