The Byron Bay wellness retreat featured in the streaming series Nine Perfect Strangers has been snapped up by activewear legend Lorna Jane Clarkson.
The Australian founder of the global activewear empire, Lorna Jane, paid $10.98 million for the luxury health retreat in the Byron Bay hinterland town of Ewingsdale.
The property, which was the setting for the TV series, which starred Nicole Kidman, was listed in February this year.

Clarkson also announced the purchase on Instagram, telling her 239,000 followers that she had purchased the property.
"A special chapter begins with SOMA Byron Bay," she wrote.
"This is the next step in my vision for Active Living, and I can't wait to bring you along for the journey."
The fitness entrepreneur's moving on into the "Active Living" or wellness area is the next step for her business that pioneered the popular active wear fashion trend.
She started her gym and active wear label in 1989, and today it has expanded to 100 stores across Australia, along with a thriving online business.
She told The Australian Financial Review that there would be little change initially to the centre, which focuses on retreats that include yoga and meditation.

She also hoped to offer more corporate retreats and conferences in the future.
The luxurious property was established by meditation teacher Gary Gorrow who transformed a former dairy farm into a high-end wellness retreat.
The retreat, which is set over 21 acres and is just 10 minutes to the beach, captured attention since it listed earlier this year.
The main building, which houses 13 bedrooms and bathrooms, is a modernist-style structure that was designed by Balinese architect Ricky Sunur.

Also behind the project was hotelier George Gorrow, who has worked on hotesl such as Sea Sea Hotel in Crescent Head and The Slow Hotel in Bali.
A double-height living and dining area captures views across the surrounding valleys, while generous guest rooms on the upper level also take in the vista.

An adjoining deck to the central building houses a large infinity-edge pool and outdoor space to unwind, along with a large fire pit and gathering circle.
One of the most eye-catching elements of the property is a six-metre high geodesic yoga dome that featured in the series with Kidman and is found within rainforest-like growth on the estate.
It is not the first Byron Bay buy for Clarkson.
She also owns a beach house in the town, along with the Coorabell Estate, a wedding and events venue where Margot Robbie and Tom Ackerley married.
