Bec + Bridge fashion label co-founder lists stunning Mosman home for $18m

One half of the Australian fashion label Bec + Bridge is offloading her luxury digs in one of Sydney's most affluent suburbs.
Three years after forking out $14.05 million for a stunning Federation-era home in Cliffton Gardens in Mosman, fashion designer Bridget Yorston has re-listed the St Elmo Street property with Geoff Smith and Geoff Allen at Ray White Lower North Shore Group.

The property is on the market with a guide of $18 million and will be auctioned on September 18.
Built around 1910, the five-bedroom, three-bathroom Queen Anne Federation house is fully renovated and reimagined as a luxurious, contemporary retreat.

With interiors by Handelsmann + Khaw, the property's striking design earned it a spot in an issue of Vogue Living.
Occupying a sprawling 1106 square metres, the property takes in views across the harbour to the Eastern Suburbs and out to the Pacific Ocean.

"A warm European sensibility acts as the key in linking the home's nostalgic charm with its modern architectural extension," the listing reads.
"A soft, muted colour palette is enhanced by waxy Venetian plaster walls with signature archways reflected in bespoke joinery details."

Set across 407 square metres, the home's features include 3.5-metre high ceilings, French Oak timber floorboards, Limestone heated tiles, bay windows, ornate plaster mouldings and arched passageways.
At the property's centrepiece is a breezeway with retractable glass walls connecting one of the home's living spaces to the poolside pavilion.

The breezeway looks out to a terrace, the refurbished 13-metre heated swimming pool on one side, and an outdoor dining space on the opposite.
Taking centrestage on the ground floor is the light-filled open-plan kitchen, living and dining area.

The striking chef-style kitchen has stainless steel benchtops, splashback and cabinetry, and an oversized stainless steel island bench.
The kitchen includes a butler's pantry, a built-in Liebherr refrigerator and freezer, a ZIP tap, Miele dishwasher and microwave, and a 900mm Lacanche Beaune French cooker with a double oven and six-burner gas cooktop.

The ground also has a formal living room with balcony access, a bathroom and four bedrooms.
Even the powder room creates an impression, finished in Rosa Tea pink marble.

Upstairs has a whole-floor parents' retreat with double cavity doors opening into an opulent Calacatta Monet marble ensuite bathroom.
The top floor also features a home office, a dual dressing room and expansive harbour views.

Other features include a 500-bottle wine cellar, an alarm system and surround sound speakers.
Yorston purchased the property in September 2022 with her husband, Ed Yorston, after selling another Federation house in Mosman for $6.85 million in 2023.

Yorston co-founded Sydney-based women's fashion label, Bec + Bridge, alongside Bec Cooper.
The duo met in 2000 on their first day at Sydney's University of Technology and went on to launch their brand.

In 2004, the pair were invited to show at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia.
The label launched globally, and the likes of celebrities such as Kim Kardashian, Emily Ratajkowski and Kendall Jenner have worn their designs.
According to Cotality records, the median house value in Mosman is $6 million.
