Bridgerton in the mountains: regional estate inspired by hit series location is up for grabs
It comes with its own lake and hidden staircase.

An elegant estate with grand gardens inspired by a location on the hit series Bridgerton has come onto the market.
Tablelands Estate, which sits in the NSW Blue Mountains town of Wentworth Falls, has over 11 hectares of gardens and includes a lakeside pavillion and stunning garden temple.
Listing agent Matthew Gale of McGrath Wentworth Falls said there had been strong interest in the property which has a price guide in "the mid $5 million range".

He said that the lake, gardens and structures, had been established more than 30 years ago.

"As a 20-year-old I remember coming here and it was just unique, they had the vision," Mr Gale said.
Out of the Australian bush the original owner created an estate with English-style gardens, and its own lake, constructed and shared with a neighbour.
Today the stunning gardens and five-bedroom house had been given a new lease of life, with the current owners renovating the property after it had sat empty.
"The house was derelict and hadn't been lived in for years before it was sold by the NSW Trustee and Guardian," Mr Gale said.
It last transacted for $2.01 million in 2024.
"Now everything from the front door to the back had been completely renovated."

While the bones of the building were there, out-of-date features such as wall-to-wall carpet have been replaced by oak parquetry floors.
A new modern kitchen has replaced an out of date model along with bathrooms updated with full marble surrounds.
The main bedroom and one other of the five meanwhile capture brilliant lake views.
Living areas feature wood-fired heating and classic limestone walls.
An intriguing feature is the concealed spiral staircase linking the main level to the downstairs entertaining area and the attic.
It is the garden however that captures attention with the designers inspired by the gardens of UK heritage estate Stowe House and its surrounding Stowe Gardens, which featured as a location in the first series of Bridgerton.
The location in Buckinghamshire was used to represent the Vauxhall Pleasure Gardens, where the characters Daphne (Phoebe Dynevor) and the Duke of Hastings (Rege`-Jean Page) shared their first dance.
In particular, the Lake House and Temple of Winds, were inspired by the Stowe House original.

Mr Gale said there had been interest in the romantic location for those who wanted to operate it as a wedding venue, subject to council approval.
The Lake House is a romantic-style building with gothic columns overlooking the man-made lake which today is dotted with established water lillies.
The Temple of Winds sits on a more isolated part of the property and has distant views to Sydney.
Both spots are picture-perfect wedding locations.
There is also a large orchard with fruit trees including apples, pears and figs along with a separate guesthouse.
Mr Gale said the appeal of the property was evident as soon as you turned into the driveway.
"There is a long and windy drive through some amazing gardens first passing the gate house and then arriving at the main house," he said.
"When this place was established they had the vision," Mr Gale said.
