Celebrity interior designer's country estate sells for $8 million, with camel included

The luxury farm of celebrity interior designer Steve Cordony has sold for $8 million.
The 120-acre property, which sits seven kilometres from the NSW Central West town of Orange, is a design lover's dream.
"It's bittersweet, but we are excited to let you know Rosedale has new custodians, and the coming few weeks will be our last at this magic place we have called home for the past 8 years," Mr Cordony told his 770,000 Instagram followers on the sale this week.

The new owners is a businessman from the local area who plans to continue running Rosedale Farm as a wedding venue, accomodation and will continue its garden tours.
The 49 ha farm, which last traded for $1.8 million in 2017, attracted interest Austraila wide as well as from the UK and New Zealand.
The property is made for events with its designer interior, the work of Mr Cordony, who is also style editor at Belle Magazine.

It features custom-made and designer furniture and fittings from designer rugs from Cadrys and Armadillo & C, alongside hand-picked antiques through to Ralph Lauren Home Chandeliers.
The menagerie of animals on the property, including a camel, two shire horses named Ebony and Brade, white peacocks, chickens, geese and a pig, were also part of the $8 million sale.
The original homestead, which dates back to 1877, houses six bedrooms, multiple living areas and a stunning designer kitchen.

There is also a two-bedroom guest house, which has been used for farm stays and accommodation.
Mr Cordony has run design and entertaining workshops at the property, along with numerous commercial launches.
Equally stunning are the extensive gardens and grounds, the work of co-seller and renowned landscaper Michael Booth.
Since buying the property in 2017 he has planted 30,000 plants and trees, installated an 18m heated pool and a house garden of 3,8ha including an orchard and vegetable plots.
The pair, also thanked the local Orange community in helping build their dream home.

The property was listed with Deborah Cullen of Cullen & Royle, along with Scott Petersen from McGrath Orange.
There were initial hopes of achieving a $9 million sale of the property, which the pair spent eight years restoring.
