Former St George Illawarra Dragons star and NSW State of Origin representative Trent Merrin’s Shellharbour home is back on the market, and due to go under the hammer.

The home went on the market in early February, and was later withdrawn from sale.

The four-bedroom Shellharbour home was previously listed via a different agent with a price guide of $2.3 million.

It has now been listed with a new agent, and a buyer’s guide of $1.8 million. The property is scheduled to be auctioned on May 13.

The current selling agent, Jordan Andonovski from The Agency Illawarra said there had been a “price alignment”, and strong interest in the home.

Mr Andonovski said there had been both local and out-of-area buyer interest in the property.

He said given the interested parties, it was currently uncertain whether they would negotiate a deal prior to auction, or attempt to sell the home under the hammer.

“It’s in a really good location; close to the beach with a good outlook,” he said.

The home, which spans three levels, sits on 359 square metres.

CoreLogic records show the 2010 premiership winning forward, who also played with Penrith during a successful NRL career, bought the home in November 2017 for $1.3 million.

The home which he purchased after breaking up with pro surfer Sally Fitzgibbons was also pulled from auction earlier this year.

On the lower level, there is space for six vehicles, or the option of continuing to use with its current setting of the ultimate home gym area with its own bathroom.

The listing of the home came after Merrin snapped up a Barrack Point home last year.

Last October he paid $2.6 million for the two-storey, four-bedroom brick home positioned between two beaches and with ocean views.
