Fitness mogul Kayla Itsines drops $13 million on Gold Coast waterfront mansion

The Sweat co-founder's luxury digs include a tennis court and pool.

Fitness entrepreneur Kayla Itsines has dropped $13 million on a luxury waterfront mansion on the Gold Coast.

The purchase ends an extensive search for 34-year-old Itsines who will move into the Mermaid Waters home with husband Jae Woodroffe and her two children.

Set on 2280 square metres, the palatial five-bedroom, four-bathroom house occupies one of the largest landholdings in the suburb and has 81.5 metres of water frontage.

Luxury features include a tennis court, an infinity-edge swimming pool, a gym, a cocktail bar and a wine cellar.

The property also has a pontoon on the water and a boat shed.

Itsines engaged a buyer's agent to secure the waterfront estate listed which was with Gypsea Youngsmith and Michael Kollosche of Kollosche.

Cotality records show the property sold prior to auction on March 7 for $13 million.

It is the second-highest residential property sale in Mermaid Waters, which holds a median house value of $2.21 million.

In 2025, a luxury five-bedroom mansion on the waterfront at 24 Winch Court sold for a record-breaking $14.005 million.

Completed in 2023, the Tropical Colonial-style house was designed by Hicks & Holmsted Architects and features interiors by Tamsin Johnson, whose portfolio includes Raes on Wategos in Byron Bay.

It won the president's award at the Gold Coast Housing and Construction Awards in 2024.

The expansive floor plan covers 865 square metres across two levels.

The ground floor comprises a formal sitting room, a home office and a media room that each open to a marble verandah.

The kitchen has an oversized stone island bench, integrated appliances and a butler's pantry with a double sink, integrated fridge-freezer and dishwasher.

Bi-fold doors open to a covered outdoor entertaining area with a built-in barbecue kitchen and raked ceiling fitted with fans, heaters and speakers.

Her latest property move follows the $7.375 million sale of her 1920s bungalow in Malvern, South Australia in March 2024, which fetched a gross profit of about $3.575 million.

She renovated the 100-year-old home after buying it in 2017.

Built on 3193 square metres, the property featured a tennis court, a solar-heated swimming pool and an alfresco pavilion.

It also had a self-contained studio, a cellar and two master wings.

Adelaide-born Itsines amassed her fortune as the co-founder of personal training app Sweat, which she sold to US-based company iFIT for a reported sum of $US150 million in 2021 with her former partner Tobi Pearce.

The pair bought it back two years later.

In November, Itsines landed a spot on the Australian Financial Review's Young Rich List with a net worth of $176 million.

Itsines is one of the world's top fitness influencers with a social media following of more than 43 million across Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and TikTok.

She married Jae Woodroffe in December 2023 after the couple welcomed a son, Jax, earlier that year.

Itsines shares a daughter, Arna, with Pearce, who also lives in Mermaid Waters with his wife Rachel Dillon.
