Jamie Durie's Northern Beaches home withdrawn from auction as sale nears
Jamie Durie's home had an auction guide of $29 million.

TV personality Jamie Durie's six-level dream home on Sydney's Northern Beaches was withdrawn from its scheduled auction on the weekend.
The property, Belah House, at 189 Riverview Road, Avalon Beach, was listed with an auction guide of $29 million after initially hitting the market in October with guide of $33 million.

However, Mr Venturi told View the auction had been cancelled, as they were in negotiations with buyers.
He said there had been strong interest from both locals and out-of-area buyers.
It took a decade of planning and a two-year build for the gardening guru to construct the lavish six-bedroom home that he shares with his fiancee, Ameka Jane, and their two children, Beau and Nash.
The family moved into the property in early 2025 after facing "huge budget blowouts, rising interest rates, and massive construction costs".
Within six months, Durie had received an off-market offer of around $30 million to sell the sprawling mansion.
Cotality records show he purchased the site in December 2015 for $2.275 million.

Durie told View last year that it had been an emotional move to sell the home.
"It's probably taken some time for us to make that decision, because we did build this as our forever home," the celebrity landscaper said.
"But we had a couple of great offers. We thought about it, and we looked at the children's age, and thought, 'if we don't make a change now and give them some time on the land, we're going to get trapped in the mouse wheel of private school and the city forever'.
"We're doing this for the kids really... We find the kids are different kids when they're on the farm. We want to nurture that, with nature."

The absolute waterfront property is one of 24 homes on sought-after Stokes Point.
The 1069-square-metre waterfront block had a retro four-bedroom beach house, with access to Pittwater and views across to West Head.
It was demolished to make way for a sustainable grand design that was built at a reported cost of $3 million.
Described by Durie as "sympathetic and responsive to the topography of the site", the six-bedroom, six-bathroom house was designed by Silvester Fuller Architects and Durie Design.

Taking in vast water views through floor-to-ceiling windows, the home features bespoke joinery with brass fixtures, high ceilings with opulent pendant lighting and a showstopping internal timber staircase in the living room.
Other features include a home cinema, geothermal heating/cooling, solar power, Smart Home automation, air purification system, heated floors, a butler's pantry, a wine cellar and a rooftop garden.
Waterfront facilities include an entertainment area with an outdoor kitchen, and a private slipway jetty.
Wellness features include a home gym, cedar outdoor ice bath, a sauna and an infinity pool.

The project was documented on the Channel Seven television show Growing Home with Jamie Durie.
Durie also owns a hobby farm in Byron Bay's hinterland, purchased for $3.625 million in 2023.
The family plans to head to the 72-acre property - filled with "sheep, cattle, ducks and chooks" - when they sell their Sydney home.
"We love it," Durie said of the Byron home. "Fresh eggs every day; the kids wake up and run out to the field, and the first thing they do is collect the eggs."
