If you're looking for a property with gravitas, it doesn't get much more legendary than The Coach House in Daylesford.

Built circa 1854, the stately Victorian mansion was originally owned by Scottish immigrants Neil and Jessie Leggatt.

Known as 'The Coach House Hotel', the property was used as an inn for people travelling between Melbourne and the Goldfields.

After Mr Leggatt's death in 1871, Mrs Leggatt converted the hotel into a private residence where she lived for many years.

Located on the Daylesford Lake, the property has since been used as a popular holiday rental due to its proximity to the region's tourist attractions.
