Sydney thrown into chaos as train drivers stay home from work
Sydney has been thrown into chaos as train drivers were intructed to stay home for work giving no warning to commuters tryt to get to work on Friday.
The rail union instructed drivers not to show up to work leaving many lines without servies and train sitiing idle full of passengers at stations around the city.
Dozens of trains had been cancelled as of 7.15am on Friday after the Rail, Tram and Bus Union aunched the industrial action.
The Rail, Tram and Bus Union has called the ‘go slow’ strike as the dspute wihthe Minns government takes another turn.
Alerts from the NSW Government are advising people not to travel or find alternative arragemnents if possible.
Afghan asylum seeker detained in Munich ‘suspected attack’
A car driven by an Afghan asylum seeker has ploughed into a crowd in the southern German city of Munich, injuring at least 30 people including children in what the state premier says is probably an attack.
The suspected attack also came hours before international leaders including US Vice President JD Vance and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy were due to arrive in the city for the Munich Security Conference.
Police said a white car had approached police vehicles that were accompanying a demonstration of striking trade union workers, before speeding up and hitting people.
Officers arrested the suspect after firing a shot at the car, deputy police chief Christian Huber said.
