A motorcyclist killed in a crash in Adelaide’s north has been identified as a father of three “with a heart of gold”.

Gerard Binek, 32, died when his motorbike slammed into a tree on Vindana Road, Paralowie just after 2.30pm on Tuesday.

Paramedics attended the scene, however, the Elizabeth East father couldn’t be saved.

His life was the 77th lost on South Australian roads so far this year.

His relatives have created a GoFundMe campaign for the man they say was a “fun-loving, mischievous, cheeky young man with a heart of gold”.

“He absolutely loved being a father and adored his three boys. Gerard brought joy and happiness to so many people,” his sister in law Meegan Mitchell wrote.

“We are all shocked by the sudden loss of Gerard and would love to give him the funeral he deserves, we also would love to allow Tereina and the boys to grieve their loss without worrying about everyday expenses.”

Vindana Road was closed to all traffic for several hours while Major Crash officers investigated.
