The Labor faithful, who led Victoria from 2014 to 2023, is reportedly in a “bad way” after a neurological episode.
Details around the reported health issue are scarce, however, the Herald Sun reported that he was left “debilitated”, with sources claiming he had issues with speech and movement.

Mr Andrews reportedly was admitted to a Melbourne hospital in late 2025, just before Christmas.
The outlet reported that Mr Andrews was “improving” after “intensive” rehabilitation.
It is understood the Mr Andrews is still in hospital.
Mr Andrews has had other health scares in recent years, most notably back in 2021 when he fell down stairs at a holiday home in Sorrento, before returning to work after the Christmas and New Year break.
The then-premier was rushed to hospital, where he was treated for broken ribs, a crushed back and respiratory issues. Although details about the fall were kept close, the health implications were reportedly significant, even requiring time in the ICU for a collapsed lung.

Mr Andrews stepped down as Victorian Premier in 2023 after overseeing some of the world’s harshest and longest lockdown conditions over the COVID-19 pandemic.
Victorians were locked down for longer than any other state in Australia, with Melbournians hardest hit, at times kept within a 5km radius from their homes, with curfews issued keeping them inside their homes, unless they had a permit, from 8pm - 6am.
Since his resignation, which handed leadership to controversial Labor Premier Jacinta Allen, Mr Andrews has attempted to stay away from the spotlight.
However, in 2025, Mr Andrews turned up at a Chinese military parade, alongside Russian President Vladimir Putin and North Korean Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un to celebrate the 80th anniversary of V-Day against Japan.

His appearance at the event shocked Australian politicians, with the Prime Minister reportedly not aware of the invitation.
