A reunion with Holly Valance, lunch at Jeremy Clarkson’s pub and a promise of ‘big meetings’ has fuelled intrigue around Pauline Hanson’s UK trip.

Over 60,000 people have signed a petition urging Tasmanian authorities to guarantee a non-lethal management plan for Neil the Seal, an elephant seal who has become a local sensation.

Pauline Hanson has reunited with one of her highest-profile political supporters, former Neighbours star Holly Valance, during a visit to England, with the One Nation leader teasing “some big meetings” are still to come.

Senator Hanson shared photos of the pair touring the historic Blenheim Palace in Woodstock before stopping for lunch at The Farmer’s Dog, the Oxfordshire pub owned by broadcaster Jeremy Clarkson.

“While here in England, I took some time out to catch up with Holly Valance who has been a staunch backer of true conservatives both here in the UK and myself in Australia,” Senator Hanson wrote on social media.

“We visited Blenheim Palace for a wonderful private tour of this enormously historic beauty in Woodstock before stopping off at the Farmers Dog for lunch and a few of Jeremy’s beers.”

She added, “Some big meetings lined up this week. I’ll have more to say about those discussions later in the week.”

The catch-up comes as Valance has become one of the most outspoken celebrity supporters of conservative politics in both Britain and Australia.

The British-Australian actor recently attended the Unite the Kingdom rally in London, where thousands gathered to protest illegal immigration and what organisers described as growing Islamic influence in the UK.

Speaking to The Daily Telegraph, Valance described herself as “absolutely right-wing” and urged Australians not to be “embarrassed” about patriotism.

“Don’t be embarrassed and don’t be too scared to stand up for your country that’s given you everything, that’s given you freedom, that’s given you the great life that you have,” she said.

Valance also praised Hanson as an “amazing, loving Australian” and claimed support for the One Nation leader was continuing to grow.

“All I think of is imagine if we listened to Pauline when everyone was giving her so much shtick in ‘96, ‘97, imagine how different it would be,” she said.

“Hindsight is an amazing thing and she was on to something then and we all laughed at her, me included. I remember being a child and watching her and being told she’s the crazy lady, not so crazy now.”

The pair have previously collaborated publicly, releasing the satirical song Kiss Kiss (XX) My Arse earlier this year. The track attracted widespread criticism, with some branding it transphobic for lyrics mocking LGBTQIA+ communities, while supporters defended it as political satire.

Senator Hanson has not revealed who she is due to meet during the remainder of her UK visit, saying only that further details would be shared later this week.
