Donald Trump arrives in Saudi Arabia looking for economic deals

Donald Trump has touched down in Saudi Arabia for a four-day tour of Gulf region, as he seeks to secure trade agreements and closer economic ties.
Arriving on AirForce One after receiving an honorary escort by Saudi F15s, the US president was accompanied by Tesla CEO and close advisor Elon Musk for the visit.

By continuing you agree to our Terms and Privacy Policy.Mr Trump was greeted by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman at the tarmac of the airport in Riyadh. He last visited the country in 2017.
He is expected to hold talks on both investment and regional security issues ranging from Syria and Gaza to Iran.
Some meetings are expected to take place hours after his arrival and ahead of an official dinner, according to Al Jazeera, and on the following day he will meet with Gulf Cooperation Council leaders.
In the first extended foreign travel of Mr Trump’s second term, he is also expected to go to Qatar and the United Arab Emirates but is not visiting Israel.
