Donald Trump stops by McDonald’s in Pennsylvania to make fries, work the drive-through and win crucial voters

Former President Donald Trump has stopped by a McDonald’s restaurant, speaking to voters picking up fast food.

The move comes after Mr Trump criticised Vice President and Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris for lying about having worked for the fast food chain in her younger years.

Mr Trump stopped by a Feasterville-Trevose McDonald’s as he campaigned to win over voters in the crucial swing state of Pennsylvania.

The former president got by the fryer to make fries getting work experience while speaking with the store’s staff.

He dipped wire baskets of potatoes in sizzling oil before salting them and handing them out to customers through the restaurant’s drive-through window.

At the collection window, Mr Trump spoke to Americans about the upcoming election.

“I like this job,” said Mr Trump, whose adoration for fast food has been well-chronicled.

“I’m having a lot of fun here.”

News of Mr Trump working at the store quickly spread and thousands made their way down to the store to get a glimpse of the Republican presidential candidate.

Mr Trump told Breitbart News he would work at a McDonald’s restaurant in Pennsylvania on Sunday “just for fun” to mock Harris.

Ms Harris says she worked at a McDonald’s when she was young but Mr Trump says he does not believe her.

Mr Trump spent the rest of Sunday campaigning around the state of Pennsylvania.
