US forces have struck Iranian launchers after Revolutionary Guard forces were reportedly seen preparing rockets near the Strait of Hormuz.
US forces have struck two Iranian launchers on Iran’s Larak Island after Revolutionary Guard forces were reportedly seen preparing to fire rockets towards the Strait of Hormuz, according to a US official.
“Revolutionary Guard forces were observed preparing to launch rockets carrying sea mines toward the Strait of Hormuz,” Axios reporter Barak Ravid quoted the official as saying.
Iran’s Fars news agency separately reported an explosion had been heard near Larak Island, but said the cause was not immediately known.
