Mark Riley

Mark Riley’s career began in 1979 as a cadet journalist on the Newcastle Herald, first tackling the shipping news and social rounds, working his way up the ranks to become Chief of Staff on the day of the 1989 Newcastle earthquake. Mark has won a number of awards for his journalism, including the Paul Lyneham Award for Excellence in Press Gallery Journalism and a Walkley Award for his collection articles and opinion pieces in The West Australian.
