Fremantle are hoping to make the most of a rare MCG visit with finals fast approaching as the ladder leaders take on a Melbourne team looking to keep their top-four chances alive.

It’s the first time in more than a year the Dockers have taken on a top-half side at the MCG and will be without captain Alex Pearce, who was managed for the clash.

Luke Jackson and Max Gawn will go head to head in what could be the Dockers final visit to the ‘home of footy’ until the last day in September.

VOSS HAS FOUR!

Less than 30 seconds remaining, as Voss gets out the back and launches from at least 60m out and it bounces through.

He’s got four before half time and that’s 15 from his last three games here.

Treacy brings up his 50

Don’t know how he took the mark but he’s just too strong to let it go despite being spun around in the contest.

Squeezes it through and he becomes the second Dockers to past the 50 mark today.

Laurie hits back

Melbourne has kicked some incredible goals this quarter as Bailey Laurie produces another stunner to get his third.

Off a step from 45m he launches the Demons 10th goal.

Amiss gets his third

Perhaps a touch lucky to win the free kick after Rivers held him.

But Fremantle were in need of a break and Amiss is looking on song today as he kicks his third.

Demons hit the front

Andrew Brayshaw is split in half by Pickett as he cops a huge hit on the wing.

Still no tag on the Demons superstar and he pops up at the next stoppage to get Melbourne forward and Bailey Fritsch takes a strong contested mark from Luke Ryan and converts.

Jake Bowey then produces an incredible finish with a snap off a step as Melbourne charge again.

Petty stops the rot

He was playing in defence the last time in faced Fremantle but Pickett finds him with a perfect kick, allowing him to beat Brennan Cox.

He rubs his head in celebration which Pat Voss did to him last game, which forced the taunting rule to be brought in.

Melbourne launch straight from the next centre bounce and Harry Sharp produces an incredible finish on the run to bring it back to inside a goal.

Amiss reaches 50!

A half century of goals for the Fremantle forward with Treacy and Voss not half behind.

Dockers’ kicking continues to be elite as Amiss takes an uncontested mark out the back with the Demons stuck in between.

Amiss becomes the first Freo forward to crack 50 since Pavlich in 2012

Voss has three!

End to end from Fremantle as Hayden Young finds the aggressive handball to Judd McVee who bursts through the middle.

Numbers out everywhere and Pat Voss marks and converts from the pocket.

FRE 7.2 (44) MEL 5.2 (32)

Treacy launches his first!

Nails the tackle in on the edge of 50 to win the ball.

Right on the edge of his range, the Big Kahuna lets fly as it sails through to get the Dockers back in the lead.

All square at quarter time

Hayden Young was almost hard done by as a tackle on Pickett was called high despite the fact that it was below the shoulder.

But Pickett’s snap was horrible as it fell short to bring an end to an entertaining opening term.

Fremantle threatened to run away with it early before the Demons kicked four straight goals to briefly take the lead.

It’s a cracking clash so far with plenty more goals to come, you feel.
